Installing on Mac

Open the disk image

Double-click the downloaded ARTVENTORY disk image (.dmg) in your Downloads folder. The steps are the same on Apple Silicon and Intel.

Drag ARTVENTORY to Applications

A window opens with the app and a shortcut to your Applications folder. Drag one onto the other.

Open it

Launch ARTVENTORY from Applications. Because the app is notarized by Apple, it opens normally — no security warning to click through. The setup wizard takes it from there.

Installing on Windows

Run the installer

Double-click the downloaded ARTVENTORY setup (.exe) in your Downloads folder. It installs for your user account only — no administrator password needed.

Two warnings — both expected

The installer isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows treats it as unfamiliar. Nothing is wrong with the file — you can verify its checksum above.

1. Your browser. Chrome or Edge may say the file “isn’t commonly downloaded.” Click the … or ⌃ next to it and choose Keep (Edge: Keep anyway).

2. Windows SmartScreen. When you run the setup, a blue box says “Windows protected your PC.” Click More info, then Run anyway.

That’s it — no administrator password, and neither warning appears again.

Open it

ARTVENTORY appears in your Start menu when the installer finishes. Launch it and the setup wizard takes it from there.
