Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
ARTVENTORY is a desktop application, a companion mobile app, and this website, operated by Drew Davis Fine Art ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data the Service touches, where it lives, and what your choices are. The short version: when you use an ARTVENTORY account, your inventory lives on our servers (hosted by Supabase) — that is what the app reads from and writes to. You can also connect your own Google Sheet as an optional backup copy. This policy tells you exactly what we store. We do not sell your data, ever.
2. What We Collect
- Account information: your email address, and — depending on how you sign in — either a password (desktop) or your Google account via Google Sign-In (mobile), when you create an ARTVENTORY account. Authentication is provided by Supabase; we never see your password in plain text.
- Purchase information: when you buy through Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record), we receive an order confirmation — order and customer identifiers, your email, the product purchased, and your license key — so we can activate your license and grant credits. We never receive your payment card details.
- Your inventory and business data: the artwork, sales, and customer records described in Section 3.
- Support correspondence: emails you send us.
3. Where Your Data Lives
- Our servers (your inventory's primary home): when your app is connected to an ARTVENTORY account, your working data lives in our database, hosted by Supabase — this is what the app reads from and writes to. It includes your artwork records (titles, descriptions, dimensions, prices, tags, and image links), editions, locations and consignment records, quotes, sales and finance records, and the customer contacts you keep in the built-in CRM. We store it to provide account features, credit balances, and sync.
- Your Google Sheet (optional backup): if you connect one, ARTVENTORY requests read/write access to Google Sheets through Google Sign-In, used solely to read the single inventory spreadsheet you connect and to append rows to it (sales, location history, and locations). We do not access any of your other files or spreadsheets. The sheet is a one-way backup copy of your inventory, not the app's working store. You own it and can revoke access or export it at any time.
- Artwork images: by default, your images are stored on our infrastructure as ARTVENTORY Cloud storage (Supabase Storage). Either way, publishing an image to a listing requires a shareable link — anyone who has that link can view the image, which is what lets your store display it. If you prefer, you can switch to your own Dropbox account instead, and ARTVENTORY will create the shareable links there.
- On your device: app settings, your license cache, and diagnostic logs are stored locally in your home folder; API keys and other secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain.
- Crash reports: if something goes wrong, ARTVENTORY can send a crash report to Sentry, our error-reporting provider. Reports are redacted before they are sent — we strip file paths, keys, and personal fields — and sending is user-initiated: the app asks you first.
4. Your Customers' Data
ARTVENTORY's CRM features let you keep records about your customers — names, emails, phone numbers, and purchase history. When your app is connected to an account, those records are synced to our servers as part of your data. You are responsible for having the right to keep those records; we process them only to provide the Service to you. We never contact your customers, and we never sell or share their information.
5. AI Processing
When you run artwork through the AI pipeline, artwork images and metadata are sent to AI providers — OpenAI (descriptions and tags) and Google Cloud Vision (image analysis) — which process that data under their own privacy policies. If you configure ARTVENTORY with your own API keys, that data flows through your own accounts with those providers. We do not use your artwork or data to train AI models.
6. Payments
Payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. We never see or store your payment card information. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to data they collect during checkout.
7. Service Providers
We use a small number of providers to run the Service, each processing data only as needed to provide it:
- Supabase — database, account authentication, and optional image storage
- Lemon Squeezy — payments, licensing, and tax handling (merchant of record)
- OpenAI — AI-generated descriptions and tags
- Google — Google Sign-In (account authentication), Google Sheets (the inventory sheet you connect), Google Cloud Vision (image analysis), and Google Analytics (website traffic only — see Section 12)
- Dropbox — file storage in your own connected Dropbox account (optional)
- Sentry — redacted crash reports, sent only when you choose to send one
- Shopify — publishing product listings to a Shopify store you connect
ARTVENTORY's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Sign-In only to authenticate you and Google Sheets access only to sync the inventory spreadsheet you connect; we never use this data for advertising, and we never sell it or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the Service to you.
8. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your ARTVENTORY account yourself, from the ARTVENTORY phone app (iPhone and iPad). Open Settings → Advanced (the last card — tap it to open), choose "Delete account…", and confirm by typing your account email. Deletion is permanent and self-serve — you do not need to ask anyone's permission. If you use only the desktop app, email support@artventory.app from your account's email address and we will delete the account for you.
Deleting your account erases everything stored in your ARTVENTORY Cloud account, in a single all-or-nothing operation: your entire artwork catalog, all print and card stock records, every sale, customer, and commission record, locations, location history, and agreements, saved quotes and pricing configuration, and studio bins, supplies, and checklists. Your login itself is destroyed along with it.
One ARTVENTORY Cloud account covers both the desktop and mobile apps, so this removes your synced data on both. After deletion, the desktop app will have nothing to sign in to. This cannot be undone — not by you, and not by us.
Uploaded images are removed by a separate cleanup shortly afterward, not at the moment you confirm deletion.
Any Google Sheet or Dropbox files in your own accounts belong to you and are not affected by anything we delete. We are required to retain purchase records for tax and accounting purposes; those are held by our payment processor and are not part of your ARTVENTORY Cloud account. If you have questions about deletion, email support@artventory.app.
9. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, it is removed as described in section 8.
10. Your Rights
You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the app, as described in section 8. You can also request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or opt out of marketing communications — email support@artventory.app and we will handle your request by hand within 30 days. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, these rights are backed by GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, secrets on your device are kept in the macOS Keychain, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe you've found a vulnerability, email support@artventory.app.
12. Cookies and Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies and reports aggregated traffic — which pages were visited, roughly where visitors came from, what browser and device they used, and which buttons were clicked (for example the download button, a checkout link, or the mailing-list form). We see totals and trends, not individuals. We do not send it your name, email, or any other personal detail, and it is not connected to your ARTVENTORY account or your inventory data.
We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not sell or share this data. If you would rather not be counted, your browser's cookie controls or Google's opt-out add-on will stop it. The ARTVENTORY desktop and mobile apps do not run analytics — this applies to the website only.
13. Changes
If we update this policy materially, we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
